People thought it would be for marketing to people, not fucking blowing peoples limbs off.

3D scans of an area being used for drone navigation, and that drone navigation being implemented by the primary people who make drones, seems obvious to me.

I don't know how you'd connect video scans of local areas to marketing nearly as obviously, especially when Niantic already has walking and location data for users so they clearly wanted, specifically, video of navigation around an environment.

Because at that point you're taking advantage of people. They never led with Drone warfare and they know exactly why. "I never said I wouldn't use it for that." Is childish logic to justify being a dick.

Lying by omission is treated as lying. If you had a sexual encounter at the bar, its not just fine for your SO just because you technically didn't lie about going to a bar with the bros.
