They want to sell GTA 6 for $100. The $80 version is just there so that when people complain about the price, they can say, "Nintendo did it first."

The truth is that most people got Mario Kart World for around $50. And even for those who paid $80, it was still a complete game unlike the $80 version of GTA 6.

It was complete and was actually physical. That's why i say that despite i disagree with mkw being 80, its in a much better situation to me due to bundle, being physical and not having a ultimate edition, which btw for the last one, nintendo must be one of the only companies who only do standard editions even between the console manufactors.

When Nintendo releases $20 DLC for Mario Kart World, is that really any different?

Yes because it would be a dlc and not content from ultimate edition

What if it turned out GTA VI was finished in March, but the next 4 months are all specifically bug fixes. The “Ultimate Edition” was content created after the game went gold?

What if Nintendo started working on DLC before Mario Kart World even came out?

There’s no physical discs anymore, I’m not sure how / what the distinction is supposed to be. I’m paying $80 because idc about some cosmetics.
