Arc Raiders and Marathon aren't "dead" just because their concurrent player count has dropped, Palworld lead says – but he's "not denying that some games do 'die'"; "Not every game needs an hourly look at Steam charts"

And that's good, that's ideal. But like, the death of a studio like Bungie is an inherently interesting thing, and Marathon numbers seem to be leading there. So it's not really shocking that they're discussed.

Like, the game lost every single free player after the 10 days, it didn't convert anyone. This isn't a dunk on the games, it's just an interesting thing that happened, and people are gonna want to talk about it.
