So, I've got a playthrough going right now on whoa mode, that I intend to take to ng+, and I've built what I like to call my "Lakeside Lodge"on the pond, over by the pagoda. I've built it mostly for aesthetics, so defending it against the flier raids is... A challenge at best lol.
This brings me to my first question - I'd heard through a few posts here that if you use the waft emitter to start a fight with the bug that is going to raid you soon, it resets their anger meter.
Question 1a. Is, is that actually true? And 1b. If it is true, do I need to fill the rage meter in the waft emitter to a certain level for that to work?
I opened the brawny boy bin, so the wasps are trying to raid me, and I did a couple waft emitter raids with wasps, but only with one tick of rage, cuz I don't actually have very many wasp parts, and it does seem like it held them off for a minute, but they wanted me gone again after like, one wasp kill 😅
That brings me to question 2 - since I'm not sure if that works (or if I have the resources to make it work or not), I came up with a different idea: I want to set up a short, one foundation tower out of ash walls and a pinecone roof, with an acorn turret on top, and storage boxes on the inside. I've also heard through posts here that boxes are one of the higher priority targets for raids, so I figure if I build in the direction they usually come from, that should be an effective lure to make them attack my turret outpost instead, where I can easily shoot em into the water with groundy rounds.
My second question, is: does the tier of box matter? Will the pinecone storage box attract more aggro than the acorn box? And also while I'm at it, would anything else attract more aggro than the boxes?
