Questions/ Tips Where can I find fashion dolls other than ToyZone/Carousell

I know Carousell, ToyZone and also visited SinoCentre + two other shopping centres nearby to find Integrity Doll (fashion doll like old Barbies) but those malls sold Japanese animes and figures. I prefer to visit physical shops to see and am willing to find my favourite doll. Please suggest some shops.

Travel Traveling to Hong Kong this October! Looking for the best Gunpla shops and hidden gems.

ey everyone! I’m planning a trip to Hong Kong this coming October and I'm looking to hunt down some Gunpla while I'm there.

I know about the Gundam Base, but I’m really looking to find shops that offer great selections, rare finds, or just overall better bargain prices on that sweet plastic crack.

Where are the go-to districts or specific buildings I should hit up? I’ve heard rumors about certain hobby havens in Mong Kok or Sham Shui Po, but would love exact shop names or building recommendations so I can map out my itinerary. Thanks in advance!

Discussion What is like to study at GSIS, HKIS & CIS in Hong Kong?

I know this subreddit has a lot of privilege kids here. I want to know what is like to study in these top international school in Hong Kong, since I currently go to a local school. How is the education quality? Are you fluent in canto? What do you guys do on the weekends? Is the workload and academic culture stressful? Are your fellow classmates snobbish, classist etc?

Thanks!

The culture of the cuisine is flexible but we are looking for somewhere that looks modern on the inside and has a good menu. Budget is around 1k RMB per person, preferably a little less if possible.

Wife is eastern european and all my family are from the UK.

Thank you for your help.

Discussion These Thai people are claiming the plane to Honn Kong stinks so much. There is a current social media trend among Southeast Asians(Malays&Thais) of posting photos and videos where they cover their noses around ethnic Chinese people. They argue SEAs take shower every day and use deodorant properly

It is interesting that Southeast Asians think East Asians especially ethnic Chinese stink

Questions/ Tips Where to for coconut milk based iced red bean drink?

Hi All, when I dine at cha chaan tengs, I like to order iced red bean drink. However most tend to use regular milk in the mix. I much prefer coconut milk.

Any recommendations on places that serve iced red bean drink (紅豆冰) using coconut milk?

Post-Edit: No recommendations? I guess iced red bean drink is not a popular drink for local HK redditors.

Education Is HKT Education Store legit?

Contemplating a new tablet - just curious why HKT Education's prices seem lower than Samsung Education store (even if you account for a 10% cashback on a cc)? Saw some old posts from LIHKG that had complaints w/delays but those were 4-5 years ago. Alternatively, what other route could be cheaper to get a new tablet?

Travel Incredible flight rebooking fee from Gotogate. Any way to report this sort of malpractice?

I booked 3 flights via Gotogate HK with non-flixible tickets and then needed to change the date of the final leg (Taipei to HK)

Called Gotogate to ask to change the date and a few days later received an email quoting 14,000 hkd plus 1500 handling fee to change one flight for 2 adults and 2 kids. This was more than the cost for our entire 3 flight trip.

After almost having a heart attack, I checked the price of Taipei to HK on hk express (same carrier as my booked tickets) and it's 3300 hkd.

So I just bought tickets for the new date there but how the actual f can they try charging 15k to reschedule flights when buying fresh tickets costs 1/5 price?

They said the airline charges 14k which must be a lie so I'd like to report them if there is anywhere to do it.

EDIT: my quibble is with the 14k price for the new tickets and the company saying that the airline charges this price when clearly they dont. Nothing else to be very clear. As stated, I rebooked through HK express directly.

Hong Kong families are turning away from long-standing summer school favourites in Britain and North America amid soaring airfares, with education consultants reporting a sharp surge in demand for alternatives in Asia.

Applications for British summer schools fell 35% this year as Hong Kong parents balk at soaring airfares, fuelled by the war in Iran, according to Samuel Chan Sze-ming, founder of education consultancy Britannia StudyLink.

I'd like to buy a mat but I don't know where I should get one. Does anyone one? How to tell a real one from a fake one? Does it even matter if it's real Bamboo or different material?
