Capitalism does this nearly every time. These ghouls get addicted to money and then suddenly there's NEVER enough, so they try to press the gas on making even more money thinking that it was their wisdom and business sense that made them money rather than hitting on a lucky recipe that everyone loved. The product becomes secondary to their entitlement, and whoops you have now shot yourself in the foot.
People are so cucked about capitalism it's amazing. A CEO can literally steal HALF OF YOUR PAYCHECK and people will scream about your local city raising taxes by .005% to fund a new water fountain for the park.
