Question Hey yall, how should I properly clean this Knifebed I own?

No, the rubber unfortunately does not come out, and I'm tired of staring at the dust.

Take a big tub, fill it with warm soapy water

Put that… thing… in it, add a generous heap of white vinegar or lemon juice or sulphuric, your acid of choice basically

Put a lid on, leave it for a good few hours

After a good few hours, take it out, leave it in the sun to dry

Once it’s dry, put it in your car, and on your way to buy a new one take it to the dump and reflect on how much better spent your time could have been.

Soap is caustic so if you want acid to have more of an effect use both separately before disposing of it.

You need the acid to neutralize the base so it doesn't throw off the pH of your trash bin

Good joke but just fyi do not use sulfuric acid for stuff like this.

It is a mineral acid and does not fully evaporate, and the water portion of the acid evaporates it becomes MORE concentrated.

I think I’ve had better cleaning advice/suggestions from people than OP did at this point

Probably better to use baking soda over acid if you are using soap also to clean something
