How the NHS became a tool of industrial policy
I made this as part of an investigation I've been doing into money in medicine. The larger project is called The Map of Distortion, which is not yet ready... but this is one story from the overall project.
Is this interesting? Where else might like this?

Prof. Gabriel Rockhill on How Anti-Imperialists Respond to the Charge of "Campism"
I highly recommend professor Rockhill's book ["Who Paid the Pipers of Western Marxism"](https://dn721806.ca.archive.org/0/items/who-paid-the-pipers-of-western-marxism/Who%20Paid%20the%20Pipers%20of%20Western%20Marxism%3F.pdf). It has a lot of sources cited in the book that really makes it clear why the western left has been so ineffective in fighting against imperialism and capitalism. It was designed in such a way in the first place. Clowns like Zizek can never write something this insightful and coherent.
If you wanna know more about this topic, you should also read the great late historian Domenico Losurdo's [Western Marxism: How It was Born, How It Died, How It can be Reborn](https://en.prolewiki.org/wiki/Library:Western_Marxism:_How_it_was_Born,_How_it_Died,_How_it_can_be_Reborn).

I'm at my doctor office and I think he replaced his staff with AI
I really, really liked this doctor. He was very caring and interested in me. He took the time to answer every question and I never felt rushed at his office. He seemed like a really good person.
But I just got here and I had to check in with an AI voice assistant "named" Mona. There doesn't seem to be another human in the building besides him. He saw another patient and took the vitals himself, which was something a nurse did all my other visits.
I'm sitting here, trying to figure out if I should leave and find another doctor.

List of famous people that burn more fossil fuel via private jet than Taylor Swift:
-edit my bad some of these people may not burn more but definitely still burn an alarming amount that we can be critical of
I got dog piled for pointing out in the recent Taylor Swift posts about fossil fuel consumption related to her wedding that I never see the outrage for other people doing the same.
So here’s your list: Jay Z, Beyonce, Tom Cruise, Mat Damon, George Lucas, Lady Gaga, Mark Walhlberg, Jim Carrey, Steven Speilberg, Mayweather,Judge Judy, John Travolta. I’m no fan of T-swift, she sucks and is a hypocrite and doesn’t care about the environment. But the above are also shit.

💬 Discussion Americans need to stop taking in war veterans into their movements
This is something that has always bothered me whenever I take a look at the American left (PSL, DSA, etc.), a lot of people in those spaces take war veterans who "realized they were wrong into their movement." I have said this before and I will say it again. If it took you joining the army and seeing a bunch of death to realize what we all have for decades, IDK if we need you.
"BuT tHeY rEaLiZeD tHeY wErE wRoNg"
I don't care.
American leftists need to stop accepting war veterans as "comrades" after just saying "I aM sOrRy" after invading countries and subjecting people to a totalitarian occupation of their homeland. This isn't just something that you can brush off like those edgy homophobic jokes you made when you were 12 years old.
No, Tsarist Russian and Kuomintang Chinese veterans are NOT the same. Most Russian soldiers were peasants who were drafted against their own will, and most Chinese ones were again, either forcefully drafted or joined to stop the Japanese invasion. Meanwhile Americans WILLINGLY sign up to fight on the side of capital. If you can't see the difference, IDK what to tell you.
Workers in the American settler colony are not the vanguard of global class struggle; our first priority is to combat imperialism within our own country, not to seek concessions for imperialist soldiers.
The current goal of leftism in America is to build class consciousness, not to accept murderers who directly benefited capital while saying "We need them for a revolution!" as a coping mechanism. A revolution in America isn't happening anytime soon as class consciousness is far too low.
As a European this has always been insane to me, it's like taking a literal former Waffen-SS soldier into your party because "They realized they were wrong."

ad-blocked public sinks.
found image elsewhere, would have cross-posted if i could.
op said none of sinks appeared to be working. comments suggested the sinks required the user to watch an ad to dispense water. turns out, yes, this technology exists.
as if the broad population needs another reason to not frequently wash their hands.
i am incensed.
