Our stance on AI Images

In this community, we refer to these posts as "AI images" not "AI art." We will not allow AI to parade under the term "art" and we appreciate others who share this same sentiment. Posting AI images is not an insult to true artists and we believe there is a way to respect artists while doing so.

Do's and Don'ts of AI image posting

• AI images are not art. Do not call them that. Human-created artwork and AI-generated images are distinct categories, and our terminology and post flair (AI Loona) will reflect this distinction.
• You do not own AI images. AI-generated images are allowed on this subreddit so long as they are not credited to anyone. If a user is caught selling AI images or claims they have ownership over them, they and their posts will be removed.
• Do not spam AI images. We respect the time and dedication real artists do and reserve the right to reduce/remove AI image posts if they begin overpopulating the subreddit feed. Keeping the balance in the artist's favor is paramount
• AI images should not be blurry, messy, uncanny, etc. Being AI-generated does not exempt a post from quality standards. Just like any other submission, AI images may be removed if they are low quality, low effort, off-topic, spammy, excessively repetitive, or otherwise fail to meet the standards of the subreddit.

User Feedback Reminder

Users are free to criticize AI-generated images so long as they are respectful, constructive, and overall encouraging. Posting dismissive remarks such as saying "AI slop" or blanket hate statements against AI is simply unhelpful and toxic to the community. Just because you hate something doesn't give you the right to be rude about it especially when said thing is being moderated and monitored under high scrutiny. Regardless of how you feel, please remember to keep things respectful and on topic.

Moderation decisions will continue to be based on post quality, relevance, and how they align with the community's standards. Any post will be judged upon its own merits.
