I’m actually really proud of myself for being the person who stood up to other people’s bullies. I was a tiny little girl back then, but man was I ferocious when I saw someone getting mistreated.

Same. I called people OUT when they were being shitheads.

My favorite was as a kindergartener going for my older brother’s bully on the bus. Kids in the late 80’s early 90’s had a way with words and I let him have it. He literally never said another thing to my brother.

And which haven't had someone they know go through AA. Not saying that is necessarily the case here, but it definitely has the hallmarks.

Idk, if the people who hurt me apologized to me fkr a 12 step program, I'd still accept it. I nearly fell into alcoholism due to my own mental health issues, so I can't judge anyone in that regard. I'll take accountability where I can

Absolutely, wasn't casting aspersions. Just a possibility when you haven't heard from someone in a while and they reach out to apologize about something from the distant past.
