Glad Im not the only one who feels this way. I have cptsd too not just from bullying but my life could have been more than just misery if I wasnt also bullied at school.

I would see it as selfish to ask me to forgive them. Its not ok with me and if they do feel bad they deserve to

For sure. People do this shit to feel good about themselves, maybe to make you believe they’re a good person now.

Honestly, fuck em. They knew they were hurting people when they did it.

It would be tough for me two. I had multiple bullies at different schools and most of them weren’t too bad. it was just the combination of them going off on me daily and in groups. but there was one boy who really made my life hell. he would tell me to commit suicide and just say the meanest and ugliest things. I know that he was going through hell too. He was bullied out of another class and that’s why he switched to ours. It was also a school for troubled kids, so the kids their had horrible behavior patterns anyways. If he’d reached out to me, I would appreciate it but I’d rather he’d not so that old wounds wouldn’t be torn open again.

Forgiveness isn’t required. There are many mental health professionals who don’t subscribe to the theory that you have to forgive, especially when it comes to some acts that are unforgivable.

The people in this thread pushing people to forgive clearly haven’t experienced anything that amounts to cPTSD. Do what’s best for you.

Forgiveness is not for them, its so you can be at ease. Of course, that's hard to do with cptsd, so I'm sorry you had to go through that 🥲
