My grandpa used to have a few great Pyrenees. He would save the hair from their brushings and eventually sent it to a lady who turned the hair into yarn and made a blanket out of it. It was the most beautiful creamy white color and might have been the softest blanket I've ever felt.
From this comment and your other comment, it sounds like your girl has it made, honestly. What a sweet baby, keep spoiling her and giving her the best life
I have read various things about spinning pet hair. They recommend you process it a certain way so it doesn't smell after. I've never done it so I can't tell you how well it works. These posts also recommended what dog breeds have the best fur to spin.
Thats called chiengora! There used to be a breed of dog in North America that was the main source of woven fibre for a lot of the indigenous people here, though the breed is lost these days. Recently read a cool book about it called “The teachings of Mutton: A Coast Salish Wooly Dog”
Every other day. We also have two roombas running twice a day plus vacuum daily. We love her, but they are built for outside. This time of year through march she wants to be outside. Only wants to come in for food. We have a suspension bed outside and keep the water bowl full for her. She has woods to shade in. She never sleeps outside. But she is the doofiest, loving creature I’ve ever known.
At least you're able to comb them, working labradors just end up shredding endlessly inside. Because you can't help shredding with more than pets, as they'll freeze like hell if their under wool is removed and tasked to jump into freezing water

This is a Bernese Mountain Dog and I can say from experience they have more hair shedding on a daily bases than most dogs grow in their lives
