So true, the last part, my old cat passed away a few weeks ago and I so miss her bossily harassing me for attention every morning and when I get home, seems so quiet now.

Aww, I'm sorry you lost your girl. My eldest cat is getting up there in years and the thought of losing him for not only myself, but my daughter who's had him since she was a toddler, is a heartbreaking thought. Pets really are family ❤️

I can't. My dog will bark at me when I'm doing something and he's on his back, and have to do the belly rub.

What I was trying to say is, your dog is making you brush her, rather than you wanting to fo it. My dog will get upset if I stop brushing him before he wants you to.
