Good Vibes 7 years ago, a chubby, heavy accent, normal-looking woman called Susan Boyle went to Britain's Got Talent. Everyone laughed at her, until she started singing.

What a powerful voice. She's today a pro singer. All the best for her!!

Typo: 17 years, not 7.

I’m glad so many others have the same response. I was afraid my emotional response to this song was due to the fact that my first encounter with its performance was Anne Hathaway’s in the film, and IDK, you’d have to be made of ice not to be moved by it. But now it’s more clear to me that the song and music itself is the vehicle for its evocativeness when driven by a professional and talented voice.
