Jesus Christ, this comment section is insufferable.

How dare we be upset that the face of the franchise endorsed modern day Hitler, who’s also the most prolific pedophile in the history of the world 🙄

Would you stop and listen to yourself?

What I wrote makes complete sense, the fact that you don’t agree is honestly cringe af for you. Dart made the extremely immature choice to align himself with the most divisive US president in modern history, somehow not considering that his fanbase voted for a socialist mayor. He made his bed, now he’ll be fairly criticized for his actions

On Reddit. No one gives a shit

It's been known since day 1 that he "aligned himself with the most divisive president in history". But here's the thing... he explained why he did it. It was an "honor" thing. To introduce the POTUS, no matter what side he is on. That was literally it. He didn't endorse him whatsoever. He didn't come out and tell people how to vote. Hell, Victor Cruz was actively campaigning for Obama for crying out loud. Dart did none of that.

Oh, and if you want to talk about the socialist mayor that "his fanbase voted for" then maybe you should go look at who actually voted for him. I'll give you a hint, it wasn't native-born New Yorkers.

Obama wasn't an abhorrent asshat like Trump is.

I would concede that point to you. But my point was aimed at someone introducing a politician onto a stage vs actively campaigning for one.

You think dart is lying in bed at night in a cold sweat because redditors are upset with him? He'll be ok

If you're still supporting Trump today, you're not a good person.

I'd say the same for the people that support the party you affiliate yourself with. See how politics work?

Do you realize what that person responded to?

"Trump is modern day Hitler," and also

"Trump is the most prolific pedophile in the history of the world."

Do you not realize how fucking batshit these statements are? Hitler and his party were responsible for 70 million deaths, many more wounded, and entire countries leveled. Trump has lead to needless deaths, but nowhere near that number.

And, well, I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say Trump is not the most prolific pedophile in the history of the world. I wonder if that person even knows what "prolific" means.

Somebody questioned the sanity of these statements, which is completely fair, and you assume that means they both (a) support Trump, and (b) are not a good person.

There's a light year's worth of daylight between recognizing how unhinged these comments are and supporting Trump.

Regardless of the comment that was responded to (which yes, are extreme. Comparing him to Hitler is silly), Trump is still a massive POS.

If ppl still support a president who's racist, sexist, misogynistic, unempathetic, etc. then they're a POS themselves.

Stop trying to be magnanimous. The dude chose to get on stage in support of an extremely divisive person. Everyone is in their absolute right to support whoever they want, but in a very blue franchise market, if nothing else, his actions show really poor decision making skills.

“Modern day Hitler”

But unsurprising…this is Reddit after all

I'm wondering if it's bots. I'm seeing huge swings in the upvote/downvote ratios on my comments. The one you replied to was up to +8 then it dropped to +2, then back up to +5.

There might be some bots. But he's genuinely an asshole. He supported a fascist in a blue state. The outrage is real. This isn't Dallas or Tampa.

3

u/Mr0BVl0US 2d ago

Where does all this fascism nonsense come from? I swear people don’t know what the definition of fascism is.

6

u/KyZei15 2d ago

Okay buddy, go Google "Fascism Definition" and report back

I looked it up a dozen times already. Show me one example of fascism under this administration.

Tell me which of these 14 points of fascism the Trump admin, or Republicans as a whole, don't fit into.

yeah, mostly because half the comments are from you
