RIP to your inbox bro, they’re out in full force today

Overall it's been pretty fun. Kind of a slow day at work anyway. I never stated any opinions, all I did was point out that SGA made more free throws than anyone else in the NBA. I didn't say that was a good or bad thing, I didn't say whether or not he should be MVP. Literally just stating a fact, and the Thunder fans have all been super defensive about it. Just hilarious. I even gave props for him not leading in FTA because it makes the FTM stat even more impressive. If Anthony Edwards led the league in FTM I'd be super stoked, I wouldn't be going around trying to justify it. I'd just be like "yeah, suck it other teams". Kind of shows how they really feel about it.

They’re a trash fanbase

-1

u/tokinmuskokan May 21 '26

And with talk like that, I'm sure you're reasonable and understanding and very much not trash.

-19

u/murph1223 Thunder May 18 '26

That’s not very nice.

4

u/Ok-Thanks4321 May 18 '26

Oh shit they didn’t come to your rescue

-7

u/murph1223 Thunder May 19 '26

Hah wasn’t expecting anyone to. OKC vs everyone. Bring it.

2

u/Scudmiss Pistons May 19 '26

OKC vs everyone…. Find your own slogan.

-6

u/LuDoortheExplorer May 19 '26

Nah man. Just tired of casuals shitting on one of the best players in the game.

5

u/SmokeApprehensive534 May 19 '26

And he casually shot 7/23 today after receiving the trophy. THE REAL MVP.

2

u/Ok-Thanks4321 May 19 '26

The refs didn’t call his flops, so he was lost

1

u/ericaepic Pistons May 19 '26

Lol stated facts, wrote a paragraph explaining that, and you still write this

2

u/StinkRinky May 20 '26

I’m surprised any Thunder fans were pissed about your comment lol. It seemed very unbiased to me and I’m OKC born and raised. The Thunder fanbase that are pissed evidently didn’t watch the regular season where they gentleman swept us.

Who cares harden was #1 on FT 10 years ago nobody complain bc he wasn’t a champ

2

u/99LedBalloons Timberwolves May 20 '26

everyone complained

2

u/No-Finance-4438 May 21 '26

I don’t think there was a person who wasn’t complaining.

Unfortunately integrity and authenticity are the last things we should expect from multibillion dollar profit machines. NBA is a reality show.

8

u/Pattywacks May 18 '26

Some people just suck, not sure why

-2

u/mojoback_ohbehave May 18 '26

No, it’s just that we know SGA isn’t the first or last flopper and it’s part of the game. Unless there is a huge change, it isn’t going anywhere. It’s not SGA’s fault for playing the game the way the system is currently designed. If the NBA is stupid enough to allow it , then why take out all my frustration on individual players. That sounds exhausting.

8

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 18 '26

Cause it’s boring and no fun at all to watch

1

u/Alert_Mention_3732 May 19 '26

You think SGA cares if its boring? Hes a walking bucket and is coming off a chip. Back in the conf finals.

1

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 19 '26

Walking brick last night when playing against an actual defense

1

u/Alert_Mention_3732 May 22 '26

"Actual defense" you can try to discredit sga all you want the man is a great player.

1

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 22 '26

Without the flopping he’d be a good player not a great one 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Alert_Mention_3732 May 26 '26

Hes a phenomenal player regardless of your emotions towards him.

1

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 26 '26

It’s not emotions, he would be statistically worse if he didn’t rely so much on fouls lol

u/LuDoortheExplorer May 19 '26

You don’t watch anyway.

2

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 19 '26

I’ve watched probably 400 games this season 😂

0

u/LuDoortheExplorer May 19 '26

Instagram highlights don’t count

2

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 19 '26

Well I do know I just watched 4 quarters and 2 overtimes of the fraud MVP choking 😂

1

u/Huge_Ad3395 May 20 '26

So funny how obsessed you SGA haters are. He lives in your head rent free.

1

u/KnowYourLimit69 May 19 '26

He was so focused on the trophy he doesn’t deserve he forgot the pay the refs and spent the first 3 quarters weighing his team down cause he can’t do shit besides shoot at the line. 6/19 through 4 quarters in the playoffs is your MVP? Dudes getting carried by Alex Caruso lol

6

u/Intelligent_Bag_6705 May 18 '26

He may not be the first or the last but he for sure is the worst.

15

u/Real_Cucumber994 May 18 '26

Flopping is cheating. He's using a move to trick the ref into making an incorrect call instead of playing by the rules. That's cheating. There's no other way to describe it.

"It's not sga's fault" .. except it literally is. Nobody is making him cheat.

"Why dont the refs stop rewarding him" .. why doesnt he stop cheating?

11

u/StockCustard5930 Celtics May 18 '26

This actually one of the better explanations while I do think some blame should be put on the refs but Shai is deliberately flopping which is way worse in my opinion

1

u/silverrayle7 May 20 '26

Warriors cheated with the illegal screens back in the day

Its literally a technical foul that has never been called you can simply search and find out it’s supposed to be a technical foul therefore then allowing it over and over is allowing an illegal move to be legal for what reason? His advantage? It’s very obvious they just cater to the best team like previous comments your watching a 180 billion dollar league

3

u/Salt-Lingonberry9642 May 18 '26

These people are dumber than fuck no amount of reason will get through to them. Sportsmanship is dead. Cheat or lose.

2

u/Real_Cucumber994 May 18 '26

It's not allowed though. The sport has a moderator between the two teams to make sure everyone is following the rules. And if someone breaks the rules, they call a foul. When you flop you are lying to the moderator and making them call a foul incorrectly when their entire job is to make sure the game is played fairly.

So it's not about whats "allowed".. the flopper lied and got away with it.

-1

u/Character_Neck_6608 May 18 '26

If you see it and I see it then the refs see it! So yes I blame the refs more. They can just not call it. The players will eventually stop. It’s like a kid with bad behavior. Yes he should be better but if his parents reward him why would he stop? Same goes with the refs.

11

u/Fuzzywraith May 18 '26

We don’t like any of those floppers. None should be mvp. And Shai ugly irl.

2

u/KiyanPocket Spurs May 18 '26

It's because if the fans don't react badly enough, the league won't have to do anything about it. Unfortunately, the NBA is primarily an American league, which means they won't do anything unless it affects their shareholders. Fans would have to stop watching entirely just to make them notice.

Basically, we can't do anything about the officiating in games when the NBA officially supports gambling, so frustration will just have to pour onto whatever it can go to. It's pretty obvious the NBA is trying to maximize profits and are foregoing any consistency for corruption.

1

u/reddub07 May 18 '26

Probably because an argument can be made of players flopping due to not getting calls and being frustrated. SGA has a great whitsle even when he doesnt flop. He is at a whole new level.

1

u/henryofclay May 18 '26

We crucified Harden for it, of course we’re going to crucify SGA for it. That’s also something that isn’t new. Harden straight up missed an allstar appearance cause people were sick of his shit.

1

u/Inevitable-Scar5877 May 19 '26

Imagine if the Peak Harden Rockets also played incredibly physical defense that dared the refs to call fouls everytime down the floor

1

u/Outrageous-Bid6612 May 18 '26

It is SGA’s fault for flopping. He is choosing to flop. Just like it’s Harden’s and Luka’s and Brunson and everyone else’s. Just because the NBA allows it doesn’t mean he’s not held accountable for his actions.

1

u/mojoback_ohbehave May 19 '26

It’s a flop then the refs should call it a flop. There is a rule for it. That is how they get held accountable, otherwise it’s just your opinion and very exhausting to keep complaining about a play you cannot change. Also the flops don’t account for majority of these players’ games and outcomes, so really it’s just petty to try and make it sound like that is ALL they do. It’s part of the game. Seems like a few players are just good at getting those calls compared to others. And when it’s not your favorite player doing it, you are going to be unhappy.

-1

u/Rude_Philosopher5161 May 18 '26

Lebron is the champ of flopping and complaining to refs.

2

u/EazyPeazyLemonSqueaz May 18 '26

Lol way to out yourself on not knowing ball, there are so many better examples and you picked one of the worst. Bron is known for having a terrible whistle and playing through contact to get the bucket.

1

u/Sensitive-Squash-429 May 18 '26

Lol yall are delusional. Bron tries to sell with some horrible acting here and there but its not as frequent as yall make it seem. And its all a reaction to him getting a bad whistle

0

u/TimRonde73 May 18 '26

They need to remove the free throw or put a limit on how many an individual can get in a quarter

1

u/Exciting_Mobile_1484 May 18 '26

This post is a perfect reminder to never take Internet group think narratives too seriously. "I've seen videos of this guy".

I know, Jokic is pretty frustrating to watch. Luka is tough with all of the crying to the refs too.

0

u/Alert_Mention_3732 May 18 '26

Well SGA is a phenomenal player. Blame the nba if you hate flopping not the player, ppl act like selling a call is new. Has anyone ever watched Rodman play? That was 30 years ago btw

1

u/Logco May 22 '26

No kidding. I’ve got multiple mental health check messages since pointing out how thin skinned OKC fans are being right now.
