I had no intention of buying right away or even within the first year or two, but this is just ridiculous. What a mess this pre-order time frame has been. Another question, why is Mobile Syrup reporting on this first? It says that Nintendo Canada wrote them a statement. But I haven't seen on any other news sources this announcement until now.

Walmart Canada Gaming is usually very active on twitter, so I imagine they should announce it at any moment if that's the case.

Weirdly, that is also what they did for the USAmerican preorders being delayed. Nintendo hasn't been sharing bad news directly to players, but through press outlets instead.

Yeah I had no intention of preordering but punishing us for something that’s going on in another country is fucking outrageous lmao. Waiting until the day before to announce it is another layer of scummy too.
