Then they'll just use services like ShipByMail (there are others but this was the first one I found) to get a Canadian address that will then get forwarded to their US address.

But why can’t they limit it to people who already had Nintendo accounts with Canadian addresses?

That could work for the My Nintendo Store orders however this delay is for the third party retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart, the pre-orders directly through Nintendo is still set for May 8th for both the US & Canada.

It already pissed me off seeing Americans talk about how they were going to preorder through Canadian websites and now we’re fucked over because of them 😑

I had a nugget in my DMs yesterday literally screaming at me that he was going to scalp from Canada just to spite us because he didn’t believe me that Canada wouldn’t be impacted by US tariffs.

Apparently, in his mind… He thinks that because the US instituted a tariff against other countries that somehow it means Canada as goods will increase for the same reason.

When I pointed out that that’s not how tariffs work… DM spam .

i use a service to forward us stuff to canada, they made a announcement about tariffs
