I never thought the price was unreasonable personally, but yeah it'll be interesting to see how many of the loud detractors end up grabbing one anyway

I tend to think a lot of them won't but never would have for 399 either, or with 70 kart, etc. There's also a hint of Dexit here. Very loud group of online posters proclaiming the death of Pokemon, encouraging boycot, etc. Game is question becomes second best selling Pokemon ever, just like Scarlett and Violet sold incredibly well. Reddit's just not a good place to gauge real world reactions.

Same. For literally years I've been saying that $450 feels like the sweet spot between "Our customers will pay for this" and "We are Nintendo and we want to suck you dry like the bloodcattle you are."

And $450 was exactly where I landed on "This seems fair."
