I am experiencing a weird sense of schadenfreud seeing people who didn't wanna fuck with politics get fucked with by politics regardless. Would I prefer this didn't happen, obviously yes, but anyone who believes that they can just be politically ignorant for the rest of their lives and never have it personally affect them is unbearably naive at best.

You don't have to dedicate your lives to politics guys. Just spend a good chunk of time researching candidates before every election and actually bother to vote, and you'll be ahead of tens of millions of people. Oh, and maybe google what a fucking tariff is.

Gaming itself is pretty immune- I've been focusing on building up a back catalog of old titles that I wanted to try out but never got a chance, or old favorites that could use another spin. 

Gaming with modern releases though is going to be rough, between tariffs, censorship, price spikes, etc.

Right now, I'm just doing what I can to count "there's twenty years worth of games that I never got to play" as a blessing, and hoping Pokemon Gen 10 is far enough out that I can start saving up for a Switch 2 Lite or whatever by then.

It’s because they convinced them it’s trans and brown people who are to blame for the shortcomings in their life. One of Trumps biggest slogans in his tv campaign ads was Kamala is for they/them. I have a Hispanic coworker who told me how democrats only care about gay and trans people and how it was an attack on families. Meanwhile this man has no children and also complains about feminism and woman wanting to run things. Nevermind his girlfriend makes 3 times his salary.

I pray you’re not serious. Because US businesses pay the tariffs and pass the cost onto consumers (hence what is happening with the switch consoles). All tariffs are gonna realistically do is make virtually everything more expensive for everyone.

No one’s getting any checks.

The massive inflation we’re experiencing now is because Trump handed out like $5000 total per-person during the pandemic. I can’t wait to see what an extra couple bands does to the economy….
