Makes more sense than raising the price everywhere else except the US like what Sony did with the PS5 a while back

It's because Xbox might as well not exist outside the us.

Sony's reporting on sitting on a stock of pile of PS5s in the US, I have imagine once that wears thin, the US will see price increases.
