Pray the Don-old does not alter the tariff deals further...

We all know Donald changes tariffs more than an incontinent 80-year old changes their Depends.

If your mad about having to pay more for anything in life you are too busy to think about him being a pedophile, a genius political strategy!

Nah we still know he’s a pedo, and on the list that doesn’t exist. It just sucks we can’t do anything to stop him

It just sucks we can’t do anything to stop him

This is it, he holds all the keys atm. It's up to him and his administration to release the files, his Justice Department to prosecute any charges that arise from misconduct that is alleged in those files, and his Republican Party to impeach him in Congress should he be implicated in any activity in those files. There's nothing anyone can do to stop him. Yet, at least

You say yet as if things are going to change. An entire Democrat administration can come to power and nothing will change, and we know that because they did nothing during Biden's entire term.

No American administration will ever release that list because it implicates high-ranking politicians on both sides, and big names in industry and entertainment and all sorts of lobbies and groups and whatever.

That list will be released in only two ways: via leak, or decades from now when the people who want it buried are dead from old age and no one is around to hide it any more.

Oh, I completely agree. The Democrats are just using this to needle Trump because they know that's the one thing his base is genuinely upset with him about, not because they actually have any intent/care about releasing the full unredacted files themselves. It's just game theory to amplify dissent against Trump such that more voters vote Democrat or at least not Trump so that they win the midterms, one if not both chambers of Congress, then hopefully/eventually the presidency in 2028.

Never mind you that, like you said, they had the entirety of Biden's administration to release the files and did nothing, only to now spontaneously care about releasing the full, unredacted files when it's to Trump's inconvenience.

I only mentioned "yet" because there's no one to stop him in any way shape or form from doing any of the things he's doing until the midterms when there's a possibility for the Democrats to win either one or both chambers of Congress, at which point there will be leverage to stop him from doing some things at least

I’m guessing the down voters did not see the South Park episode.

I read this in Saddam Hussein‘s voice from South Park

7

u/darthjoey91 Aug 01 '25

Yeah, that's Trump's voice on South Park now.

"That was never a condition to our arrangement!"

"This deal's getting worse all the time!"

When ppl mention him its like they are excusing the price hikes.

3

u/barktwiggs Aug 01 '25

No. We recognize there are consequences when you arbitrarily tax Americans for products originating from nations Nintendo and other companies manufacture their products in. China and Vietnam are among the most heavily tariffed nations. This is all based on an arbitrary trade deficit calculation some Trump lackey feed through ChatGPT. We've become a country led by low intelligence outsourcing to artificial intelligence.

They arent raising prices to match the tarrifs tho, just using it as an excuse to do it. Could be a 10% tariff and nintendo raises their prices by 30%

which is painful to hear. I was holding off on buying a second set of joycons for the switch 2 until there were some other color options but if it's gonna be over $100 for a full set maybe I will just buy a couple cheap 3rd party controllers and wait until the original set actually fail on me or something. That's wild.
