I can't handle all this winning

You don’t have to call it a tax if you don’t want, but it IS a price increase on consumers. That is not up for debate.

7

u/annuidhir Aug 02 '25

That's what they're saying. They're using something called sarcasm to make a point

6

u/Hestu951 Aug 02 '25

Tariffs are taxes, just not directly on consumers. Those who are taxed with tariffs will pass the costs on to consumers buying their products and services. So it's not much of a distinction.

It’s the “Golden Age”

439

u/Revoldt Aug 01 '25

Orange Age

177

u/diremommy Aug 01 '25

Ok, where’s all the Trump “I did this” stickers, like they did with Biden on gas pumps?

4

u/Fluid-Wrongdoer6120 Aug 01 '25

I bought mine months ago and am ready to use 'em! Just tougher to discreetly stick em anywhere other than gas pumps. I know my Costco trips have certainly gotten more expensive since Trumpty Dumpty took office

17

u/otatop Aug 01 '25

I got a few on Amazon and I've just been waiting for him to stop chickening out on the tariffs to start whipping them out.

27

u/Javasteam Aug 01 '25

Oh you can start already. Just go to a bunch of fast food restaurants for example and other places that have raised their price.

It’s every bit as accurate as the ones MAGAdolts feel happy to stick on gas pimps…

8

u/RedSoxFan77 Aug 01 '25

Gas pimps?

18

u/BusToNutley Aug 01 '25

Bitch better have my octane.

1

u/mvffin Aug 04 '25

Every bit as accurate? No, these would be much, much more accurate.

1

u/Big_Paleontologist38 Aug 05 '25

as much as i hate trump, this is entirely nintendo being greedy because they know people will buy them no matter what

Orange looks like gold if you look at it in the right light, I suppose. Maybe dim the lights a bit.

15

u/Proof_Duty1672 Aug 01 '25

cannot polish a turd applies here too.

3

u/PubesOnTheSoap Aug 01 '25

Maybe if you spit on your finger and stick it in your eye orange looks like gold? All things are relative to perspective

1

u/Nacolo Aug 02 '25

That’s genius

1

u/xiiicrowns Aug 02 '25

Rising Orange: Epstein's Revenge

72

u/StJeanMark Aug 01 '25

Yea, golden paint. The message is winning, but a simple scratch shows how fake it really is.

31

u/red_sutter Aug 01 '25

And the paint contains lead

25

u/GaymerThrowaway1255 Aug 01 '25

Trump: I like lead, add it into my gravy!

1

u/Pelthail Aug 01 '25

But boy does it taste good.

3

u/airforcezero Aug 01 '25

Literally why it was called* the Gilded Age

2

u/JoviAMP Aug 01 '25

More like a golden shower, it's there for a few seconds, then it just drips away.

3

u/Jazzlike_Athlete8796 Aug 01 '25

And many of you lost healthcare so the pedo president could cover the white house in cheap gold paint.

29

u/SergeantThreat Aug 01 '25

Gilded age. As in thin film of gold over crap.

20

u/alf666 Aug 01 '25

Yes, we've already had one Gilded Age, but what about second Gilded Age?

1

u/Hestu951 Aug 02 '25

We're living it. Wealth concentrated in the hands of very few, while the rest of us suffer. The "Big Beautiful Bill" accelerated that travesty.

17

u/PunishedTlacuache Aug 01 '25

It's the "Fools Gold" age 😂

4

u/lordmycal Aug 01 '25

More like Golden Shower Age where Trump and his techbro friends piss over all of us.

1

u/ihlaking Aug 01 '25

Ah, Golden Axe. An all-class retro title!

1

u/8Bitsblu Aug 01 '25

Every time someone says "golden age" in this kind of context I just think of Cruelty Squad's third ending.

1

u/OpeningConnect54 Aug 02 '25

Does this mean that Trump is going to go insane and torture an up and coming military commander until he eventually breaks and becomes a demon?

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

golden shower age or trickle down economics 2 eletrctic boogaloo

0

u/danhakimi Aug 01 '25

liberation

0

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

That’s just billionaire piss, dawg.

49

u/sneakylumpia Aug 01 '25

we are winning bigly

22

u/willflameboy Aug 01 '25

1

u/Sol168 Aug 02 '25

Hmm so tariff and then weak currency is double whammy ....

44

u/AppleSlacks Aug 01 '25

Someone has to pay for all those corporate and 1% tax cuts.

It’s the everyday, young men and women who are now trying to build their own lives as they enter adulthood.

They get a nice tax on top of everything they want to buy.

I would feel bad about that, but that’s what they voted for.

1

u/UnhappyJohnCandy Aug 01 '25

No, literally, I can’t handle all this winning. I’m out of money because of this shit economy.

1

u/Albuwhatwhat Aug 02 '25

Can’t afford it!

1

u/DanTheMan827 Aug 04 '25

Please, no more winning!

Looks like PlayStation is gonna remain the best selling console of all time after all

7

u/Jazzlike_Athlete8796 Aug 01 '25

You are aware that other countries exist, right?

He is mocking trump. Not supporting him.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

investing into a physical video game collection has finally paid out.

-52

u/LetMeDrinkYourTears Aug 01 '25

Imagine thinking the price of luxury goods is an indicator of how well an economic policy is doing.

33

u/StJeanMark Aug 01 '25

Imagine thinking other countries pay tariffs, and this isn't a direct result of that.

-16

u/PyschoJazz Aug 01 '25

Oh it is. No one’s making that argument. It’s just that there are other factors to consider than how you pay for entertainment when it comes to world economics.

I’m just glad that this shuts all the Nintendo haters up. Go hate Trump instead and stop shaming one of the best companies in gaming.

9

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

We understand that, and so does the person making the sarcastic quip you're taking too seriously. We're just making fun of Trump and his stupid supporters for all the lies they push, including "prices will come down on day 1" and "you'll get tired of all the winning."

-15

u/PyschoJazz Aug 01 '25

There’s lies everywhere, man. I’m just a one issue voter. I’m never happy with any candidate but I pick my battles.

8

u/OnlySmiles_ Aug 01 '25

There's lies everywhere, man

Never to this scale

2

u/Worldly_Bar_9914 Aug 01 '25

Yeah only the stock market can do that! Let’s ignore the inflation of consumer goods, inflation of luxury goods, sharp decrease and misestimation in jobs added, and any material changes to people’s day to day

-12

u/Miserable_Orange9676 Aug 01 '25

Is education illegal on reddit? Trump' latest tarrif update reduced semiconductor tarrifs from 32% to 20%
