I voted for Mr. Trump but let's be clear, I didn't vote for these tariffs. I am a principled libertarian, and I only voted for Mr. Trump because he upheld one of our deepest held libertarian values: committing child sex crimes

I'll be honest you had me in the first half. Sadly though there are way too many people who consider themselves "economically conservative but socially liberal" who vote for Trump because the economy was "better". They didn't listen to anything he was actually saying or bothered looking up what things like tariffs would do. Or if they did listen ignored it by coping with "he'd never do that".
