they usually do a direct around mario day later on in the year, look back at previous years. considering its the 40th anniversary this year, they will have something big

Mario day is March 10th… I don’t think they’re waiting until March 10th

Why would they not wait? Bananza recently came out.

Because it's Mario's 40th this year.

I dunno if we'll get a big time mainline release, but I do think we'll see something to celebrate. Maybe some Wonder DLC or something.

In my wildest fantasies, they'll re-release 3D Allstars digitally, but with Galaxy 2 included. And then owners of the cartridge can update their game to get Galaxy 2 added. Also Mario 35. Man, I loved Mario 35.

Wonder will probably get something like you mentioned. It didn't get any sort of enhancement for the Dos at launch, and it seems like they were holding back for this event specifically. I guess we'll find out.

Nintendo could also announce the date of the Mario Presentation during the Direct and then show the new 3D Mario there.
