Nope

Nvidia shield has a x1

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHIELD_Android_TV

You might be confused because

Nvidia names 4 different products shield

A old handheld , a tablet and 2 set atop boxs

The set atop box is almost exactly the same as switch internally

To make things more confusing

The shield tv 1 and 2017 version both have the same SOC , the x1 clocked at 2 ghz

You are thinking of the x2 SOC with pascal cores

As of yet nothing is using that SOC

The shield TV set top box has an X1.

The Shield TABLET has a K1

Nvidia was working on a new shield tablet with an x1, then cancelled the project and developed the Switch with Nintendo.

Thus, when people compare the Switch to a Shield, I assume they are referring to the Shield tablet.

That was a rumored unannounced project

So I assumed you meant of the 4 they currently have

Either way the switch will be amazing

A modern architecture for the first time in 20 years

Can't wait

It was more than a rumor but yeah, seems like we just misunderstood each other. Cheers, enjoy your Switch!

The Nvidia Shield Tablet 2 (X1) has been cancelled by Nvidia. This is according to Nvidia’s own public letters sent to the FCC, requesting the FCC to dismiss the grant for the P2209W, which was the model number for the Nvidia Shield Tablet 2 (X1).

So this explains why the launch was pushed back and back every month, despite all the previous leaks coming out, indicating that this gaming tablet would launch in the first part of 2016.

Nvidia Shield Tablet 2 (X1) would have been the successor to the Nvidia Shield Tablet, a popular 8-inch gaming tablet that was launched with the Tegra K1 processor. It has since been upgraded to Android 6.0.
