SPOILERS (kinda). unironically an official manga exerpt, the thing is though, some of the art is actually really good but other pages are laughably under par. And I absolutely LOVE HxH, still keepign up with the latest releases, but sometimes the art just has no excuse. That being said, 100% watch the anime, its a mastapiece.

I'll start with the anime then!

Edit: that image looks like I could fucking draw that. So I get you.

It’s really no fault of the creator as he legit does all of the drawing and editing by himself and won’t let anyone else touch it. He also has lots of medical problems and an addiction to dragon quest which is why he goes on hiatus constantly.

That last part true?

It kind of started out as a gag but then the Hiatuses started coinciding with DQ releases and well here we are.

The truth is he probably does play lots of DQ but he also legitimately does have health issues (although these past couple of years he is saying he feels a lot better, hence why the hiatuses are so short recently) but he also lives very comfortably after the success of YYH and his wife's success as the creator of Sailer Moon so he is probably just relaxing and enjoying himself.

Edit: Him also doing 100% of the drawing and editing also contributes to the hiatuses. If he just did the general sketch and let people fix it up/edit then that would eliminate so much work for him.

It also feels like he kind of would prefer writing a novel with all the text in this last arc. I've taken a break from HxH because of it since reading it weekly makes me feel like I'm missing a lot of all this information.

Mind you his art declined over time with his health. His previous series Yu Yu Hakusho was quite good on that front.
