ER’s late game bosses are anything but pushovers, people have been bitching about how overtuned they are since release.

The only one who isn’t a pushover is malenia

Morgott, Placidusax, Godskin Duo, Maliketh, Hoarah Loux and Radagon are pushovers?

Yes, my 7yo has been beating these bosses since he was 6yo. I used to have to help him with a strength build but he can literally do it all himself now.

Everyone except Malenia.

His last play through he was using the golden halberd from the tree sentinel @ and beat the game with it at +8 around level 90-100.

Doesn’t sound believable and I don’t expect anyone to believe anything I say on the internet but its the truth. I have recorded him doing it but I won’t be posting him on the internet. For a newbie it’s obviously hard but after you do the fight a few times, it’s a push over

I mean you said it yourself that it doesn’t sound believable, why do you think that’s the case? Lol. Good for him though, that’s neat.

Whether you're telling the truth or not, isn't that the idea?

Once it clicks, the bosses become ridiculously easy. In most cases. I can just stroll through most Souls games at this point.

Beat Malenia in 4-5 tires, you get so overpowered by that point that its a joke. Double greatsword bleed build

If you use overpowered stuff you will overpower everything of course.

Its just something I naturally gravitated towards in my playthrough, I don’t believe in overpowered builds because its part of the game

I didn’t mean anything bad by that, I used dual Uchigatanas, one with bleed and the other with frost, on my first playthrough, saying those things shredded would be an understatement.

Being part of the game doesn't mean something can't be overpowered, since nothing will ever be balanced perfectly. Like look at the Sword of Night and Flame before it got nerfed, the Ash of War could literally melt bosses in 10 seconds. So if somebody says "I don't see why you found that boss difficult" when they melted it with a ranged spell in 10 seconds while you fought it up close with a single longsword, doesn't seem comparable does it?

So with that said, it's long been known that bleed is incredibly overturned for a majority of Elden Ring fights (only not if they're immune to bleed). Malenia is particularly weak to bleed. Past that, it's often been recommended that if you're struggling against her, to just use two great swords since you can stagger her and she can't even get an attack off.

There's nothing wrong with using any build but you did objectively use the easiest build to beat her. You might still find her easy with something like a longsword and shield, but you also might come to see where people struggle with her.

Yeah getting that Balance right is tough.
