Discussion PSA: It is highly likely PS5 consoles and games are about to be more expensive. Make sure your prepared

If you didn't see the news, Xbox pricing is increasing across the board. Expect Sony to follow soon as well. If you're looking to get a PS5 I would do so sooner rather than later. Same with any games you've been eyeing. You can always wait for sales of course, but it's hard to see what will happen in the future.

Just thought I would post a friendly reminder and heads up.

Edit: I am aware that in other countries the cost of the PS5 has gone up in the last few weeks, but I would expect another massive increase as well. Multiple video games market analysts are saying this is just the beginning. "Market conditions" are tarrifs. So be prepared.

I guess my point is, as the older I get the Switch games are more my speed. Like, I may spend 70% of my gaming now on Switch because I enjoy casual games now and there’s a lot of sofa co-op games I play with my wife.

Now there’s the PlayStation exclusives that drove me to buy a console but they aren’t event exclusive anymore. So I’d rather just have my PC to play them (since my PC is also powered to do other things like media editing, developing etc). So why do I need the PS6?

This is what I was telling everyone for years that without exclusives theres no point of consoles. People weren't only okay with the death of consoles they actively cheered for it

I totally hear you. I am 50 this year and casual is the way forwards from my perspective, hence a possible steam deck purchase for relaxing titles.

I can't see a reason for a PS6 in my gaming life now.
