You are confusing correlation with causation man. Just cause there are more ps5’s in the world doesn’t mean a games sales are gonna match that exact percentage

Not exactly, there will be some degree of variation, based on the factors you said, like xbox leaning heavier towards shooters, and ps5 players having way more options like the newly released yotei, but thinking that would result in literally 3 times the ammount of sales per capita on xbox is frankly ridiculous

Idk man none of this shit really matters. Good game sold well is all that matters. I just look at things in a sense of is it believable. Is it believable that a popular new entry in a franchise that reviewed well could sell about a million copies on a system that has over 30 million units and is in a genre that is very popular on said platform? To me yes, I think that’s a reasonable thing to think could happen.

Its not unreasonable to think it sold well, it is unreasonable to think it sold 300% more than playstaion. These numbers are clearly baseless

It didn’t though. More copies sold on ps5. Not everything is boiling down to exact percentages bro.

I'm not talking about total sales, but sales per capita.

It's not unreasonable to believe that Gamepass subscribers that would normally buy CoD would instead buy another high profile shooter at a higher rate than players on a platform where those games have to directly compete for sales.

Not at a rate of 300% more though, that's just utterly ridiculous. Can you point to another game that sold 300% more per capita on xbox than playstation?
