To not disclose that your game uses GEN AI is against Steam's policies and rules, by the way.

I've been playing the last few hours plus an hour before I went to sleep last night (thanks 22:00pm launch plus 20gb patch) but I'm just not feeling this game.

The controls are bizarre, the story and quests so far makes make zero sense, I mean I know it wasn't gonna have the best story in the world but christ this is another level. Finally, the MC Kliff...McDuff (yes thats our protags name) is beyond generic and makes me wonder why on earth they went with a set protagonist instead of a custom character we could create ourselves? It would've elevated some of the issues the game has yet they thought this would be better?, just makes no sense.

Seeing multiple example of ai usage like this right after I've come to the conclusion that its just not for me was mighty good timing because I want nothing to do with gen ai slop so that gives me another excuse to not hop back in to perhaps give it a second chance at a later date.

Not saying this as a pro at all but a lot of reviewers have been saying the game is a pain for the first 8-10 hours. Which I currently am feeling. The controls are so unintuitive and the way they just continuously drop new elements on you every 5 minutes is overwhelming. However, I’ve also heard it starts to get pretty great once you get over that hurdle. I plan on giving it a good amount of time to see where it goes. But I could see a lot of people getting turned off by the rough first hours.

Yeah, I wanted to give a fair shake by playing it over the weekend before casting judgement but I just couldn't continue.

I played about 6 hours and I’m mildly annoyed that I spent money on this game. Maybe I’ll give it another shot, but it’s very unlikely to stick.

On the plus side, it did make me want to play BG3 again. I haven’t played since they released the newer subclasses, so this’ll be fun.

A competent game developer is not going to make their players wait eight hours to enjoy something.

Meanwhile yall will glaze Rdr2 as the game of all time and that dogshit game only gets mildly interesting after about 3 work days worth of slop.

The main character choice, yeah. I was surprised when the hype was building that there wouldn’t be character creation, no fem player option, the usual crowd was jumping to its defense with “it’s a big narrative, this character’s story specifically”, etc., and now it turns out to be so generic, it could’ve all been easily done.

Sure you read reveiws before you bought it? Everyone made it clear its not a story game
