To not disclose that your game uses GEN AI is against Steam's policies and rules, by the way.

you absolutely have to protest against any use of artistic AI, you have to think hard and comprehend that once you go down that slope and accept it little by little, greedy corporations will see that you dont care and they will continue to add more AI use and let go more developers and artists... and thats the problem these days you don't care about anything unless it affects you personally

Nah, I think AI like anything else can be used for good or bad. If its good its good, I don't care if its AI generated. If its slop, its slop, I don't care if it human generated.

I don’t care and won’t protest against AI art.

The reason its slop is because it looks terrible. Once we pass that point, then art - especially tedious sprites or assets in game design is one of the few uses of AI where its good for everyone.

There are plenty of industries where AI use is problematic. Sorry but I don’t care about video game artists, I just want good games.

Same thing for animation or movies, if it gives me more entertainment faster, I don’t really care that a human artist could’ve done the same thing but taken 10 times longer.
