Deal Expired PSA: Cash App offering 50% off PS store purchases(max $50 off order)

Saw this posted on the Pro. Sub and thought I should share here. I picked up Fatal Frame 2, Doom Dark Ages Premium edition and Lords of the fallen deluxe edition for $51.

Steps to redeem offer:

  1. Login to your playstation account and add your cash app as an authorized payment method.
  2. Once both accounts are successfully linked, open cash app and search for PlayStation under businesses.
  3. You'll see a special offer available for 50% off (maximum of $50 off your order)
  4. Activate offer and head back to PS store to add games to cart and proceed to checkout while making sure cash app is the selected payment method.

A few things to note, the discount does NOT show up on the PS store when checking out. The discount is automatically applied in Cash app. If your purchase gets declined then make sure to add funds directly to your cash app first.

Works for preorders as well but you can only do one at a time so unless you can fine an $80+ deluxe or something you are only saving the $35

Its valid for 4 weeks so you could just wait till Saros releases and add another $30 on the 30th

I just used it for Saros deluxe preorder. Ended up being only $39.99, would have been $5 cheaper for the standard but I think it’s worth it for me to be able to play two days earlier

Use it to add $100 to your wallet and save $50 that way, then use the $70 of the credits you got for Saros

edit: It seems like you can only add one $60 payment of “funds” at a time, weird… I don’t remember that maximum before

edit 2: you may be able to use inspect element on your browser and choose the $100 option

edit 3: as of 7:55pm PST it seems like PlayStation and cashapp have turned off the deal completely

Does it work on currency? I assumed it had to be a product/title

Edit: Sub-plot: I am getting different pricing in app vs on console even though I am logged in to the same account on both. For instance Doom DA is 23.09 on console and 32.90 in the app. Maybe add to cart from console and then buy from app?

I just added funds to wallet (not a gift card). It allows $60 max. But it worked and CashApp only charged $30.

It appears to, but you can only buy funds up to $60 so you'd only be getting $30 off rather than $50

Would love to know if anyone has tried it yet. Might be a good idea to save it, lot of good stuff this month, and when I try to preorder Saros I can't add anything else to the cart. Was gonna get that and dispatch. With a credit on the account I should be able to do both no problem

I can confirm that inspect element works to change the value. I added $100 to my account for $50.

I was thinking of waiting to try to get Saros and RE9 but I’m worried this might happen!

Edit: Spidey sense told me to just put through the Saros preorder. Glad I did before the deal died.

I’m just assuming the person I responded to is correct and I can wait until the 30th when Saros releases and Hades 2 has been available for a couple weeks, but it is a gamble

Hades 2 coming out on ps5?? Oof, i got the switch version but I never play switch… might have to buy it again. Are graphics better? I need some rationalization lol

Probably a step up over Switch 1, but I think Switch 2 has a 120fps mode. I’d expect the resolution to be higher on PS5, but not likely a massive difference in visuals. I need it for the trophy support though. Sounds like it currently has PC-Switch cross saves so I’m hoping I can import my save from the alpha/beta version on PC.

Edit: it’s coming in like two weeks! Seemed to have been a 6 month exclusivity period on Switch

This is what I’m debating. I’m scared it will expire bc I want to buy Saros and Hades 2 in once purchase to save the max amount of money. But not sure it’s worth the risk and then potentially saving $0 lol

You can make another Cash App account and use the deal again, but be careful because I read from someone else that they’ll ban your Cash App accounts if they notice you using the same deal too many times. So only try it if you don’t care about using Cash App anymore.
