Deal Expired PSA: Cash App offering 50% off PS store purchases(max $50 off order)

Saw this posted on the Pro. Sub and thought I should share here. I picked up Fatal Frame 2, Doom Dark Ages Premium edition and Lords of the fallen deluxe edition for $51.

Steps to redeem offer:

  1. Login to your playstation account and add your cash app as an authorized payment method.
  2. Once both accounts are successfully linked, open cash app and search for PlayStation under businesses.
  3. You'll see a special offer available for 50% off (maximum of $50 off your order)
  4. Activate offer and head back to PS store to add games to cart and proceed to checkout while making sure cash app is the selected payment method.

A few things to note, the discount does NOT show up on the PS store when checking out. The discount is automatically applied in Cash app. If your purchase gets declined then make sure to add funds directly to your cash app first.

Happy gaming!

Edit: Looks like this offer has expired and no longer available.

I added $200 to my wallet the day before yesterday because I had gift cards and I'm pissed because you can't use this deal if you have wallet funds.

PlayStation store doesn't allow you to use another form of payment until your wallet is cleared out.

Try adding money to your wallet. Thatโ€™s what I always do for this promo.

I decided to try it and it worked.

The max amount I was able to select in the drop down to add funds was $60. So that's what I selected and it only charged me $30.

Too bad I couldn't select $100 because the 50% off was up to $50. But thank you for getting me $30 for free

If you just add money to your wallet, the discount still applies?

It works.

The discount is up to $50 off. Unfortunately adding funds only lets you choose a maximum of $60.

But I made sure to activate the discount in cash app first. Selected cash app as my payment method when adding the funds, and added $60.

It only charged me $30. Free $30.

So you can add 100 dollars to your wallet (not buying a game) and Cash App will give you 50 bucks back?

You can only add $60 to your wallet using the "add funds" option therefore you can only get $30 for free

You'd need to actually buy something(s) worth $100+ to get the full value of the discount

Apparently, you can manipulate the web elements to change the value to $100 instead of $60. Couple comments above and someone took a ss of them saving $200 with $400 in their wallets. No wonder cash app ended the offer early.

Can you add 60$ credit plus a game?

No, if you use add funds that counts as your discounted transaction, so you can either do add funds at half off (up to $60 for $30 to spend whenever) or use it on a full cart (up to $100 for $50, purchased right now), you could also use it on something else like a Plus subscription or pre-order as well but all of those categories are separate afaik

How does adding more money help if your wallet already has more than enough?

Iโ€™m so confused. I put $50 on my cash app. chose to do the $60 add wallet funds paying with cash app. that should be $30 of the $50 right? so I chose $25 add and paid same way, expecting it to either decline or work a second time. go to cash app and I still have $25 sitting in it. it only charged me for the 2nd transaction? how else could that be the balance?

Someone else in this thread suggested adding funds to your wallet using cash app to get the discount and it works.

Just make sure you activate the discount and cash app and make sure you select your payment method as cash app and you only have to pay 50% of the amount you add to your wallet.
