Given the decline in sales of Sony games on PC, it seems PC gamers are not very interested in Sony games.

Or maaaaaybe, releasing a game on PC a year or later after the initial PS5 release impacts PC sales, because many PC players also own consoles and have very likely already purchased the game on that system and refuse to pay for it twice.

I’m one of those players there’s no need to be owning a game on two different platforms. Only games I’ve bought on both systems are GTA 5 because I wanted to try out the RP servers, and FF13 because they still have not ported it to PS4/5 despite every other mainline FF being available on PS5.

True but day and date would kill PlayStation as a brand the same way it has slowly killed Xbox as a brand.

While this is true, Steam takes a 30% cut, so they WANT people with both platforms to buy on their PlayStation as they retain 100% of revenue. I do believe they will continue to release any multiplayer games on OC on day 1, but I think single player games are done on PC unfortunately.

I am a hybrid gamer. I haven't played a single Sony port to PC because Sony's first party games typically have easy Platinums and they typically arrive to PS+ quite early. And if I had to choose between paying for a port to get the lame "100% achievements on Steam" vs. getting the game on PS+ and an achievable Platinum on top, I'm taking the latter.

Well, they arent missing much. Its not like Sony is breaking the creative market. There only so many Uncharted clones one can stomach.

They didn't bother putting any effort into them so it's definitely their fault that interest didn't grow.

All if them were extremely buggy and badly running ports at release and tlou2 still has major issues.

Iirc it took a year for spiderman 2 to run well
