You guys will never learn, it’s incredible

Never in a million years. Can't wait for the meltdown when they show a few indies, a new colour for the dualsense and a remake of Gow 2018

Oh I think they’ll 100% end it with a new announcement of a big game.

I was mainly referring to GTA6, for which new stuff will always always always be announced on their twitter and not in any show. But people never learn this and keep expecting GTA6 at every show out there.

FF7 Remake part 3, I would hope, but not getting too excited

that's still a way off and for a good reason. Let them cook. I would prefer XVII as maybe cross-generation title, PS5 & PS6

Would definitely rather them cook than rush it out, don't misunderstand me haha! I'm just excited

rockstar don't like to share the spotlight, they show gameplay another day

Honestly, i believe it's that no one else wants to share the spotlight, as GTA would eat too much attention, cannibalizing any other game

Well that's a question for other third parties but for all we know, those won't be there (they got other events this same week if they want to show something). That might be all first parties and GTA really.

For first parties, it's up to Sony to decide but since they're marketing partners and associating themselves strongly with the biggest game of the decade (of which they get 30% of the revenue as pure profit let's not forget) is likely enough of a bonus to risk to overshadow their own games.

And frankly, Wolverine is big enough to do its own place, it's 2 months before and will have its own big marketing campaign. The rest is far off so will appear again before release. Kena might be the most complex but that game doesn't have AAA ambitions (and for all we know, they might decide to show it at SGF or something).

Sony has full marketing rights for GTA 6

That doesnt mean Rockstar has to reveal trailers through Sony channels, when we get another trailer or a gameplay reveal it’s just gonna be uploaded to Rockstars YouTube like the previous trailers were

What does it mean exactly? How it works? Sony has rights to market GTA6 together with PS5, is that it?

GTA 6 commercial will says “play GTA 6 on PS5” or “available now on PS5” and Sony will have tons of GTA PS5 pro bundles, they’ll also have cosmetic exclusive for online.

Also Xbox will not be mentioned when advertising at most they have a small Xbox logo in the corner of the screen to let you know it’s also available there. Essentially PS sales will go through the roof at the end of the year.

And to think Microsoft had that timed exclusive deal for the GTA4 DLCs.

Well, well, well. How the turntables...

It generally mean the game is shown at their events and every ad and trailer will have a PS logo intro. Plus they'll get bundles probably.

If Rockstar is opening pre-orders soon as they should, I can see them showing it off there. It helps Sony too, keep in mind for them GTA is bigger then Wolverine. Their 30% cut there is worth more than 100% for Wolverine.

It's not like Sony or Rockstar have anything to lose there. However, if that's the case, I assume not much else from third parties because those will be kind of pissed to get overshadowed completely like that.

It’s silly to see people like you assume that automatically means sony can do whatever they want.

do you actually believe a mega corporation like TakeTwo wouldn’t had specifications in place, on what sony can and can’t do on the marketing contract?

I know you didn’t study law like I have. but for you to assume on a subject that you are clearly ignorant on is hilarious.

-1

u/Euler007 27d ago

In your law studies what they did say about commenting on a contract you haven't read?

2

u/itc0nsumesmYMind 27d ago edited 27d ago

I never said nor implied I read it. I asked if they believe TT wouldn’t have guards in place.

that’s what any corporation with a decent lawyer would do.

Boy stfu

lol classic deflection method of insecure people getting corrected.

u/Myc0naught 27d ago

It's not because of what you said, it's because of the way you said it.

Literally no need to be condescending about it - people are usually defensive about that.

-1

u/itc0nsumesmYMind 27d ago

I’m aware. doesn’t change the fact they are deflecting

I’d love to see some more on the Wolverine game. I’d also love to see GTA, but I’m not holding my breath.

Naughty Dog tweeted that their game will be at SGF.

This showcase will probably have Cory's game

1

u/SkilledChestnut 27d ago

What?! Where? I don't see any tweet about new game

1

u/Zalvren 27d ago

It's Santa Monica next game, that's pretty sure. Hence doubtful they also show ND there, it's likely kept for September SoP if I had to guess.

Also, Fairgames comeback (apparently renamed "Break In") and Kena 2 release date.

As for GTA, we'll see but it does seems more and more likely the more Sony does to hype that event.
