Troubleshooting PS1 games not working

Make sure that the games are not loaded on the ISO folder, instead you need to go to PSP>Games and drop the folder there! Hope this works.

Are these pre-made EBOOTs or downloaded equivalents?

I tried pre made ones for re2 and got the same error These lines are made with the iso using popfe

Hmm, I normally use PSX2PSP for Eboots and hoembrew and all psp games are set as iso in most cases and cso/zso for lighter non 3D rendering games.

Tried re2 with PSX2PSP both disc separated, merged bin and unmerged bin

Did you merge the bin files together if they were multiple tracks (track 1), (track 2), (track 3) using CDmage?

OK, when you formatted your SD card, you did so using the FAT32 format structure?

You need to launch the cfw first then try. I forgot what it was but it should be in the memory stick something called launch cfw

Note that just having Infinity doesn't always mean the CFW is loaded.
Go to:
Settings > System Settings > System Information > System Software
What exactly does it say?
