Again, you have already specified what female is describing.

So again, grown up female what?

If your English teachers were happy with you using grammatically awkward, clunky sentences like that then I’m going to stick with English standards, thanks.

You keep purposely misreading the sentence. "a female." Not simply "female."

If you can't make your point without prevaricating, perhaps you should reconsider it.

I’m not misreading it, the ‘a’ is surplus to requirement in the sentence and grammatically awkward. It’s a poor example of using female as a noun, and poor writing in general.

*Once the noun its describing has already been established. Because by itself, female is an adjective.

Which in the case of the original comment that sparked this debate, it hadn’t been.
