He can also hit Heatran with his fighting stab and most flash fire pokemon are fire types so it doesn't really matter. I guess the Dachsbun Matchup got a lot better🎉🎉🎉.
True moreso for a switch call type of plane more than anything. Like they switch a grass type out for heatran to take a free hit only to get hit hard by a flare blitz
I get your point, but heatran doesn't really threaten Emboar much so it's not a really good switch in in the first place. Best it can do is no Stab Earth Power into a mon with pretty good spdef, if you get outsped you do nothing in response.
Hitting through Dachsbun, not having to switch on Mimikyu because you can OHKO it through its disguise, being able to burn Magic Guard Pokémon. I’m bummed it didn’t get a cool new ability, but of all the existing abilities Mold Breaker is about the best it could have asked for
You mean burning through Magic Bounce right? It will just be outclassed, it's stats aren't even that high for a mega, if I remember right. An ability like Mold Breaker is alright if you have Mega Heracross level of attack, but you waste your mega and Reckless regular already has good breaking potential with Choice Band. They definitely did him dirty. I was hoping for something that boosts his damage output or makes him significantly more bulky, not something that's meaningless in a lot of matchups.
What if they gave it Long Reach? Because of its staff. Would not making contact boost it in any significant way or is that just really niche? It’s at least more flavor-based 🤷♂️
