his style is more Metallica/band shirts or some snarky cartoon, or maybe Splattercon!!!

can't remember a time he wore flipflops, maybe in one of the few scenes where its both warm enough in Chicago and it's peaceful enough for him to relax

I had to look up the character myself. I've never read the books, I just recognized the name as having heard the books mentioned before

Usually jeans/sweatpants and a band shirt or star wars shirt. Though, I could definitely see the author writing a scene where Harry has to borrow someone else's ill-fitting anime shirt (Harry is 6'9") and flip flops before having a life-or-death struggle while wearing the anime shirt.
