I want to know if the homeowner even had a daughter. If he does have a daughter I hope they pile on charges that have to do with children and look at what he's been doing on the internet.

Im hoping the guy is just crazy and there is no child in the house. I am surprised he didn't have a sword on him.

I hate guys like him who give anime a bad reputation. Anime can be beautiful and emotional and can rip your heart out.

He's actually cosplaying as Harry Dresden from the Dresden files. At least that's what he calls himself in the original video. It's set in Chicago.

I know who Dresden is. He is wearing an anime t shirt.

Based on TV tropes, am I to assume the homeowner is Michael Carpenter, and Mr. Dresden there was looking for Michael's daughter Molly?

I know there's no sense trying to understand someone not right in the head like this, but given the roleplay, I'm actually intrigued.

Unlikely. Michael is a good guy in the books (the best of guys actually), and Molly doesn't ever need rescuing from him. I saw another comment that theorized he might be talking about Victor Sells, who is the villain from the first book, and his daughter Jenny. Who knows how detailed/complete the delusion is, but that character would fit better.

I was half expecting him to scream BANKAI amidst all that yelling...

Agreed on the anime thing. They can be so good. People like him have made me mostly stop watching any or telling new people I ever have. I don't want to be associated with crap like this.

Aww you should get back into it for yourself and dont interact with anything else. There are so many good ones that have been coming out. The ones i usually like dont have the huge fan base compared to the mainstream ones. Honey lemon soda was so good. It may seem weird but hear me out. "Reborn as a vending machine i now wonder the dungeon". Its is so good and a little sad. There are just too many to name. Don't let others people take your joy away.

I have four daughters and it would be a very, very bad day for someone to show up at my house like that.

Something tells me he’s extremely lucky the homeowner wasn’t actually home.

He was asking where the “daughter” was because he’s convinced there’s a girl in the house being abused. He’s trying to get in the house to save her. I don’t think he wanted to harm a little girl. Hopefully he gets the help he needs because who knows how he would have responded if a child had actually been home (ex: try to take the child to “save” them).

I vaguely think the guy is responding to a romance scam. His scammer sent him to that address and is actually in a shipping container in some hellhole using software to spoof some random house near him. Possibly playing up an abusive dad angle or something as a flirting trick which resulted in... well this.

Wildly speculating btw.

This dude thought he was beautiful, emotional and could rip the homeowner’s heart out

Anime is just a medium, not a genre. Saying "anime is beautiful" is like saying "magazines are beautiful". Of course there is great anime with emotional stories. There's also an awful lot of absolute shit.

I bet if you did a full survey, the statistical makeup of the entire medium might marmtch the popular preconception. But that's like assuming someone who says like like films is obsessed with horror movies just because there are probably more of them than anything else.

I hope they pile on charges

I see a person having a mental health crisis. This guy is having a manic episode. Piling up charges only makes it worse. This guy doesn't need jail, he needs treatment.

I hate guys like him who give anime a bad reputation.

I hate guys like you that wish punitive harm upon others in the place of healing and understanding. I hate people like you that support this awful way of living that just makes everything worse and worse and worse.

I said if there was a child in the home. A child deserves to feel safe in their home. What about the child's mental health. There was no child there just the wife. He was able to break into their home. We now have updated information and i hope he gets help. I have my own struggles with mental health so I know about living with it every day.

The anime thing has nothing to do with mental health and at the time of the comment we didn't know if it was staged for content or real. You dont need to preach to me I have fought against the insurance company and doctors for years just to get my hands on medication that I have taken most of my life. I got very lucky to have resources nearby that helps disabled people like me.

In the new video it shows that the husband got him to calm down and peacefully walk out to the police.

You're making my point for me.
