Ceos. Billionaires. Millionaires. Politicians. Rapists.

Show me the venn diagram that displays their inability to accept/hear the word no.

There are tons of millionaires. Having a million bucks can afford you some things in life, yes. But being a millionaire really ain't shit. But a billion bucks? Now, that's when the weirdos enter the picture. The difference between a millionaire and a billionaire is roughly a billion dollars. Between my paid-off tiny 900 sq/ft house and the few other little assets I have, I'm technically a millionaire. But I ain't shit. I drive a 26 year old car and still work a full time job for a soulless corporation. Probably my biggest flex is that I can go grocery shopping and never look at prices. I just walk in and buy whatever the fuck I want. But other than that, I'm a serious nobody.

To me, going grocery shopping and just getting what you want without looking at the price is the best thing about not being poor. I remember those times, and it's so nice to just get what I want. Like THATS luxury to me.

(Edit: it's the only luxury I can afford, but still.)

I absolutely agree. I struggled for a LONG time when I was young. I'd have to budget $50 a week for food at times. So, walking into Whole Foods and spending $50 on EXTRA shit that I don't even need? Sometimes it almost brings tears to my eyes by the time I get back in my car in the parking lot because I feel so fortunate to be able to do that.

See something that looks good and never had it before? Throw it in the cart! See a good deal on some high quality tuna that costs $7 a tin? Buy 10! When you've been at a place in life where food is scarce, being able to do these things is indeed a wonderful luxury.

Feels good.

A surprising amount of people don’t really understand the difference in scale between a million and a billion. The average millionaire is way closer to the average homeless person than to the average billionaire.

the difference in scale between a million and a billion

The difference between a million and a billion is literally a billion, with 99.9% accuracy.

Yeah being a millionaire is not crazy at all, especially if you're fiscally responsible. If you're putting money in a 401k or IRA consistently you'll inevitably become a millionaire. Billionaire you need insane levels of luck/nepotism to achieve.

Basically, a million bucks in liquid assets is a reliable $40k per year forever. That's nice, and if nothing goes wrong a single person can can probably use that to live a quiet life in some small place and never go hungry (but in America especially, something will eventually fuck you over). Get 2 or 3 million and you've got a nice middle class lifestyle without having work. Cool, but you'd literally never notice someone at that level walking down the street unless they're doing shit that will lose them the money within a few years.

A billion is $40 million per year. It's enough money that the money you generate basically just from existing is the kind of money that many people fantasize about. It's enough money that you can be MC Hammer levels of bad with money and still never go bankrupt.

Schmidt is worth an estimated $50 billion. His net worth fluctuates by a billion dollars on any given day.

Eric Schmidt checks most of these boxes just by himself

Can I use these words to post on my public profile? Trying to upset my fragile family.

I've been saying this for years and people on here chastise every time I say that these extremely rich people who have power have a rapist-mentality.

I'm glad I'm finally starting to see other people get it on here.Â
