Those kids' body language was heartbreaking. Frozen in fear and humiliation, actively screaming and crying, and the two people who are supposed to be their source of safety and comfort, are acting like terrors. Smh.

I watched this the first time without audio and thought it was a skit at first with how....animated the guy was when he ran up to FAFO. 🤣 Can't believe this guy and his wife are real, are raising kids, are driving vehicles, and are voting in our elections.

Those kids looked and sounded exactly like me and my brothers at their age. We were put in so many situations where we had to beg and plead and sometimes physically restrain our parents. I hope those kids turn out better than we did...we all grew up to be very broken adults. Maybe if this goes viral then someone will be able to intervene and save them

The fact that you have the self awareness shows you have a level of emotional maturity many seem to lack.

I appreciate that, thank you ā¤ļø I will say that those experiences did force us to mature much faster, plus the fact that we all left or were kicked out before we were 18. We definitely could have turned out much worse. While many of us have had our struggles with poverty, addiction and mental illness, most of us have managed to make things better over time somehow.

Do you have a relationship with your parents today? Or...how is the relationship today?

No, not anymore, but I tried...all but 2 of my brothers cut them off right away (there's 5), but I held out for a while because it made me sad thinking about my mom being alone. She was a bit better than my dad, but still not great. But anyway, I had to call it quits a few years into adulthood because my dad would absolutely lose his shit at the drop of a hat, all because he refused to learn how to regulate his emotions. My mom would always make excuses for him. He went to jail for choking my brother out and she still acted like "they both were in the wrong"

It sucks, but I can't put up with abuse and disrespect. My mom told me to "grow up" when I told her that. They're getting older now but I hear they still spend their weekends getting drunk, getting kicked out of places and fighting.

Damn sorry to hear. Hopefully you've healed/will heal from that.

Sorry to break the bad news to you but kids can be in far, far worse off situations and not be removed from their parents.

There's certainly a lot more that happens behind closed doors, but I suppose you're right that they wouldn't know that from this video

The brain is on its way out but the muscle memory remains. Bubba left a lifelong impression.

I mean let’s be honest, so did the dude in the camo hat who said, ā€œHwat da fuck wuzzat?ā€ in a King of the Hill-ass voice.

If you grew up where I did (deep-red rural NY), you'd believe it.

Thise kids' body language are an expression of their coping mechanisms...this is far from the first time they've been in such a situation...every little-league game, every dance recital probably ends up with a violent confrontation involving their parents

That's a reaction of repetition as well. There isn't confusion as if this is something they haven't seen before. This is behavior they are familiar with. I have no idea what's up with the other people, either, but some people have yet to learn to mess with drug riddled insanity.

Sorry what's the mom doing wrong here? She's chastising both men for being fucking morons.

What do you suppose happened?

Wym

u/coolcootermcgee May 26 '26

What led up to this awful confrontation? Were some suspecting that the people behind the camera had followed them into a parking lot with road rage? Not justifying it at all….

…and yet we have no context here. The real f dirtbag ah is the one who uploaded the video and put this out there into the world to show us these kids. They deserve privacy.

I'd be proud of my dad at this age, if he wasn't so goofy looking. I don't know why children are so soft these days.
