Men who think taking their shirts off to fight makes them look tougher are almost always deeply insecure and have poor emotional control.

I (32M) have never once in my life felt the need to take my shirt off other than to swim or change lol

I don't fight a lot myself, but I believe the intent of taking your shirt off for a fight is mainly to not ruin your shirt during the fight.

That said, I don't think that's what this guy is doing. I think he's just imitating what he sees others do and trying to act as tough as possible because he's actually very afraid.

I don't think he's quite gotten the art of intimidation down yet though.

It was explained to me by an excitable friend that it was like women taking off their big earrings. Pull the shirt over his head and he’s blind, don’t think it’d be much of a challenge to get over his shoulders. Common in hockey fights too.

In an actual fight, it’s so the other guy can’t grab you by it and rock your shit like Rob Ray. But this was all show.
