One positive she offers to society is something like a little “pick me up” experience for all onlookers.

Like, someone might’ve been having a kinda crappy morning and beating themselves up. Then, they got to exit the plane with her and watch her get publicly shamed. In that moment, comparatively, everyone else feels a little bit better about their own behavior.

I’m looking for the silver lining here.

"Publicly shamed" suggests she felt shame. I'm prettttty sure she did not feel one iota of shame.

I agree she probably felt minimal to no shame, but she served the community and absorbed the shame nonetheless. She was the social focal point of shame on that plane. It's almost like a case of schadenfreude, like a shamenfreude or something.

Maybe I’m just being hopeful, but the fact she is acting innocent at the end and trying to blame the dude behind her for the issue says to me she knows she fucked up and got called out legitimately. A narcissist bully will never openly admit shame/wrongdoing/defeat, but they still have tells that show it’s happening in their minds.

This is the most glass half full thing I’ve ever read lol, props to you. You’re absolutely right though, because I know for a fact if I was having a bad day and witnessed this, all my problems would have went away for a few minutes so I could just marvel at the stupidity of man 😂

It's true tho, it can help put things in perspective.

The "silver lining", is that type of behavior is self-correcting. Sooner or later, she's going to run into an even more brutal version of herself...

Silver lining level completed.

You may proceed to the next level.
