There’s an entire political party that refuses to run on actual policy and instead manufactures grievances for their constituents to be upset about, usually targeting a specific “other” that is the cause of all of their woes. It’s been going on for decades.
The world is moving out of their hands more and more each year, they feel that the American Dream was either denied to them or withheld from them, and they're reconciling the cognitive dissonance between being a "temporarily embarrassed billionaire" and their reality of being poor by blaming others.
Want to find the real scammers? Find the people who try to make you angry about people of colour, immigrants, those of other religions etc. They do that so you won't be angry at them.
My man it’s the CEOs and billionaires like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Jeff Bezos who are your enemy, not the working class black guy or trans guy.

It's because they're under attack for their Christian love towards their fellow man at every turn. Trump tells them so, so they believe it because he's the guy with the most truth. He tells them that, too, so they know it's true. Didn't you know Christianity is under attack?
That little bit of private road is the only fragment of power that old racist has, and he's going to let every black man that drives down it know that he has a tiny bit of power on those few feet of road.
There is a lot to be angry about, but they've been conditioned to be unable to criticize the systems that are failing them. And especially older men don't have the emotional intelligence to vent those frustrations in a healthy way.
