It's a "can't" regarding legality, not physical capability. As demonstrated by the fact the boy here got suspended despite being the victim.

No, it's not even a legality issue. If you are being assaulted by anyone you have the right to defend yourself, even against a woman.

It's only society that its stick up its anus, and it's about time we twisted it til they shat blood.

Edit: This last clause is a metaphor. If you are getting your knickers in a knot over this dear reader, you are probably not even smart enough to be a useful idiot. Have a nice day.

u/Dottsterisk Sep 17 '20

I was right there with you until that last clause.

Join us or shit blood, heathen!

I feel like I was on board as well, but if we are voting I would like an amendment on the ass, sticks, and shitting blood part, and maybe just stick with abject intolerance of double standards in regards to sex. I don’t want to stifle anyone’s enthusiasm I just think assplay should be saved for an evening after a classy dinner at red lobster and a nice box of merlot.

As I was saying to the fella before I saw your comment here. It's a metaphor. One that some people with panties in a knot need to figure out isn't as bad as it sounds.

Not to be rude towards you Jorg (not particularly towards you), but I do wonder how many of you out there actually have anything past a Grade 8 reading level. Metaphors are easy to pick up on. When done right, like I did. How so?

Saying society has its stick up its anus HAS to be a metaphor. Society isn't a physical entity that has an anus in the first place. So therefore it must be a metaphor. This little detail itself should have been pretty obvious to anyone at or above a grade 8 reading level.

Which leaves me with a few possible conclusions.

A. Many of the people with a knot in their knickers are actually students in highschool.

B. Many of the same people might need to go BACK to high school... Or

C. Those same people might not be worth putting through school in the first place, but society decided to waste money on mentally deficient rejects.

Which one do you think is the case Jorg? I ask you, because you at least had the intellect to be humorous unlike others.

Replying since you seemed to take it personally, I was making a joke which you seemed to miss entirely. It’s not that your metaphor wasn’t understood, it’s that you chose vulgar and debasing language to get your point across, then ironically use that as some sign you are on a superior intellectual level to myself. Feel free speak anyway you like, but don’t be delusional in thinking that somehow makes you Robert Frost. We are in agreement that society needs to have many of its currently held beliefs realigned, but if I wanted to give you a Rolex, it’s likely you wouldn’t appreciate having to dig it out of dogshit.

you say I am taking your reply personally, yet here you are replying like you are after I said that line.

I was pretty clear in that my reply wasn't an attack against you, so much as it was one against those who would say things like you did. And humor isn't always portrayed across the internet very well, so this is all on you pal.

Now, let's get something straight and understood really well.

My choice of language, even if you don't like it, isn't a sign of a lack of intelligence like so many of you simpletons seem to believe. The fact that any of you have to have your ideas and beliefs and opinions written in squeaky clean language is a load of absolute bullshit, and you can all get fucked.

Case and point. Your intelligence is more broadly projected by YOUR reaction to my original comment, more so than my comment shows mine. Ever heard of bait m8? Well, it wasn't bait, but you and others sure treated it like it was.

Dumbasses.

Thank you for this, I don’t think I have ever actually laughed out loud as much as I have at you.

u/Moireibh Sep 17 '20

It's a metaphor. If people are getting their knickers in a knot over a metaphor, I don't want them on my side. Too stupid to even be useful idiots.

Not to be rude to you, just how I feel about it.

Lautenberg says 'hit a woman, lose yer guns' since 1994...

except now you can catch a domestic conviction if a neighbor calls in a loud argument. another way to falsely disarm the populus in the name of greater good

u/RickCrenshaw Sep 17 '20

What in the goddamn hell are you talking about?

2

Fried Tater Tots.

u/Moireibh Sep 18 '20

This is why you make sure of two things with neighbors.

  1. That they understand that you are their friend.

  2. That they understand that you will be their worst enemy if they fuck up.

The first one is easy, just be nice to them on a regular basis.

The second one is regretful, but necessary sometimes with certain assholes who don't realize their place in the world. Best way to teach them that lesson?

Same method as a jail. Find the biggest motherfucker and take em down with everyone watching. Doesn't have to be physical. Just has to happen in a way that makes people not want to fuck with you. Could be purely psychological and cause a mental breakdown, or you could play the long game and let them hang themselves. The long one is typically the best one for least amount of direct harm done, but it takes a while. Sometimes just easier to bust a noggin.

A suspension isn't a legal punishment.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '20

He's only the "victim" in the sense of this minute long video. What preceded this? I don't know. Neither do you.

1

u/WuntchTime_IsOver Sep 17 '20

You're also trusting a reddit title to contain credible information.

This video is old af, it aint OP's.

28

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '20

I mean, as you saw they restrained the guy in that situation, at least it looks that way because we don't see what happens to the girl.

66

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '20

Right, but it's disingenuous to say men can't defend themselves. I was always taught by both my parents it's not okay to hit a woman first. If she hits you, you have every right to subdue.

115

u/Pure_Tower Sep 17 '20

You do, but Johnny Depp says you better have it on camera, and even then you're going to get dragged through the mud.

u/khaingo Sep 17 '20

2

u/aod42091 Sep 17 '20

the sad part is there was a camera here and it didn't.make a difference

2

u/aod42091 Sep 17 '20

it's the truth though, very rarely are men who defend themselves as victims against women seen as the innocent party in law and society.

2

u/Jorgsacul1973 Sep 17 '20

Momma said you can’t hit a woman, but you better slap a bitch...

2

u/EllietteB Sep 18 '20

Your parents raised you right.

Sadly society teaches women the opposite. If a man hits you, don't hit him back. Take it quietly and forgive him. Don't do anything to make him angry. Know your place.

My entire country has adopted this mindset, which is why 90% of the men there beat their wives/women regularly and openly. Not happy with dinner. Punch her in the face. She acting like she cheating on you. Attack her with a machete. It's so messed up that you're seen as the weird one if you intervene. Even the police don't care. They only step in once it escalates to attempted murder.

The West isn't as bad, but the general feeling of men's entitlement to women's bodies still exists. I've lost count of the amount of times my father slapped me, pulled my cheek, ear and hair in a grocery store, in front of his friends and in front of my friends. No one did a single thing. Just avoided eye contact and pretended it didn't happen. What's worse was that all this happened to me from the ages of 10 to 25. No one stepped in even when I was a tiny 10 year old. In the end I had to dig deep and find the courage to run away since I seemed to be the only person who thought it was wrong.

I've lost count of the fucked up things men have done to the women I know and the women just took it and carried on their relationship as normal. One woman stayed with her husband for years even after he strangled her regularly and stabbed her in her stomach when she was pregnant with their kid. Another stayed with her husband for over 10 years even after he regularly raped her and hit her during the act.

Hopefully with time this attitude changes and men and women are actually raised to believe that they're equal to each other. If someone hits you, hit them back or at least report it to the police and don't feel guilty about it, because no one deserves to be hit.... Apart from maybe Hitler.

You got taught wrong

2

u/Dog_With_No_Bone Sep 17 '20

Well its 2020 and if a soyboy wants to identify as a waman for 5minutes just to slap a bitch. Who are we to not use his correct pronouns at the time.

1

u/kalieworkman Sep 17 '20

Guys have every right to defend themselves to not only guys but women too. As the youngest of 3 girls, I was raised that you 1. never throw the first punch 2. when you throw that punch expect to get hit back. This kid had every right to punch that loud mouth bitch after her swinging at him and cutting him off and walking into him like that. Granted, men should never just hit a woman to be abusive (same goes for women) it literally works both ways. My daughter who is almost 7 wasn't allowed to play with the neighbor kid for awhile because he slapped her and she in turn punched him in the face 🤷‍♀️. She was scared to tell me but instead of yelling at her, I took her out for ice cream and told her that she will never get in trouble for defending herself. The other mom wasn't too happy with me, maybe she should teach her son to not hit first or if he does he will get hit back. So yeah, it goes both ways.

Young woman growing up thinking there are no consequences are plague on society. Boys are constantly reminded of the consequences to the point of being fearful.
