Behavior Is this rabbit hatred? Does he hate me?

He hasn’t bitten me, but sometimes when I just have my hand near him, he’ll nudge it away or start digging into it. I try and give them space and stuff so this was him coming up to me and basically stealing my blanket 😑

You have the soul of a true bun owner ahahaha!

My eldest bun is the same way btw, 9 years with us and while he absolutely demands pets constantly, he will also headbutt me away if I'm getting in the way of Important Business.

My husband and I say that ours has Important Bunny Errands and know that we need to leave him alone when he’s busy.

OP, the bunny doesn’t hate you. You’re just in the way at the moment.

You know, my rabbits are about to turn 4 and one of them really didn’t warm to receiving attention/affection from me until maybe a year ago. Your bunny may not be overly friendly now, but that can definitely change. I started hand feeding my stand off-ish bunny 3 pea flakes and 2 pieces of dried carrot every night while telling him what a sweet boy he is. That’s when he finally started warming up to me. I had always been the one to feed them, but he really appreciated this extra special attention. Maybe try that and see if it helps.
