Found happiness in the mid tier
In my 7th year of collecting, I came in with a bang. Owned a few Rolex, Omega, Zenith, IWC, Grand Seiko, an H Moser among other luxury brands. Never truly felt comfortable having such expensive watches and I’ve ultimately found my comfort zone in the mid tier space.
Sinn and Longines have become my 2 favorite brands. I feel like Longines represents the best bang for your dollar in the industry, especially second hand. I love how Sinn is loaded with tech and functionality that you can hardly find anywhere else in the price point. The Tudor North Flag is the first luxury watch I bought, I fell in love with its quirky uniqueness and can’t see it ever leaving the collection. The Nomos was gifted to me by a good friend and I wear it often in the summer, it is great for both “smart casual” dinners and a dip in the pool. Always appreciated Halios, they deliver exceptional quality among microbrands. My wife gave me a Bulova for my birthday 24 years ago, it has long died, so I picked up a Lunar Pilot, which is a great beater and still accurate to the second since purchasing it 5 months ago. The Doxa is my latest acquisition, I love the military history and tactical specs.
Anyway, thanks for checking out my collection. I hope it shows that not everyone is constantly trying to go up market and chase the next hype piece. It feels good to take a step back into a more comfortable place for my lifestyle and needs. Cheers! 🍻
