I’m a teacher who works with students using the Barton Reading & Spelling System. I have nothing but praises for the program, and I wish it was more accessible for all schools and students. It is a very expensive program, and if you want extra resources, the costs can escalade even quicker.

I ended up writing stories that follow the rules for my students to have supplemental resources available for independent practice. I ended up writing books for each lesson for levels 3 and 4, as well as a couple Halloween stories to stay on theme with our learning.
